Done a while back (JUL2010) for Irregular Magazine's Issue 6 ([link]). Sadly, it didn't make the cut.
So here it is today, after I dug it from the bowels of my hard drive! Yes, for a while, it was lost on my hard drive. This artwork was based off of a beautiful portrait that fit the purpose by

Nice texture again on the hair, keep working on your refinement, I'd try doing this one again, maybe in pencil for a softer effect to start to catch the subtlety in skin tone, ink washes might be more appropriate to define the difference between skin and material for the hand and jacket.
