Description
This one is based off of working at Frontier Outfitters/Wooly Rhino/Sentry Hardware (a local Fairbanks business). We sell the trendy 'Kleen Kanteens' which are either stainless steel or aluminum. Ever since Nalgene bottles fell out of favor with the granola heads over the BPA in the plastic (never mind that cooking in aluminum pots supposedly gives you cancer... So careful how you thaw your fluids in those things!) these have been the rage apparently (I just don't give a darn about BPA in my plastic... Drives my wife nuts...). I figured I'd put them through an Alaska Scenario in which a hapless cross country skier is out enjoying the short sunlight and its about -30 or so... Remember the dare and the flag pole?!

Mike, only in Alaska, or Minnesota, or Montana or anything north of the Canadian border, come to think about it, not a good idea to have this thing for any out door stuff in the winter, oh and by the way summer isn't much fun when you leave the stupid thing in your car... warm drink, hot metal skin not the greatest ideas..... (I don't have the canteen style, just the coffee cup version, I took the lid off and used it like a normal cup... yeah, not good on a 90+ degree day...) I went back to my ceramic mug at work and the plastic one for the car... bpa be dammned. Didn't kill us growing up. by the way, don't grill in aluminum foil either if you are worried about cancer, in fact don't grill at all if you fear carcinegins... (sp) Die happy, die well... I'll live to the fullest until then I guess. Take care brother dear...
